Guys, did this Lamborghini Urus SUV Concept same with all the Bentleys, All Audi plateforms! It brings down Lamboughini,Porsche, Bentley and Buggatti?Not really, most of the Bentley range is VW platforms, Lambo and bugatti have their own, which in turn got “borrowed” by audi (the VW R8 comes to mind). Having said that, they are not the only ones doing things like that (ie. the BMW Ghost, the Ferrarri lets- base- all- our front engined cars on each other philosophy, etc.). Yes, they started it and were more successful at this whole “shared parts bin” business model. Yes, Im talking Beetle and Porsche, which have eventually grown apart and created entire companies and lines as their descendants (The Beetle is the daddy of today’s VWAG, The first Porsche- you guess what company that started).
Nice design huh?At the end of the day, if you dont like it, DONT BUY IT! Why do a lot of people buy a car? Because the styling makes them fall in love with it. Personally there are few SUV’s on the market that I like, especially performance SUV’s. Yes Lamborghini are branching away from being pure supercars, but its not good business to have just two models. Their SUV will sell well, if they get the styling right, to people who arent bothered by the other SUV’s available for sale. Besides, as far as I know, no other SUV on the market has a V10 engine (i know the Q7 has a V12 diesel)
