Kia First Commercialized Hybrid Model, will available in Europe by 2013

Kia is now going for Hybrid!Kia mother factory,Hyundai already goes for Hybrid, and now it’s Kia turn.Kia had launched Elantra LPI Hybrid, for commercialized hybrid - electric car which targeted Korean market. This new Forte LPI Hybrid car included a 1.6-liter LPG (Liquefied Petroleum Gas) engine, a 15kW and 105Nm electric motor and a Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT). Kia’s Intelligent Stop and Go system also installed inside this hybrid car.
Korean automaker’s engineers twist a little bit on Forte sedan’s aerodynamics by implementing a new significant front/rear bumper skirts, aluminum wheels and rear spoiler ,specialized cover for the bottom part of the engine room and centre floor. This conversion results in a lowered air resistance of 0.26 Cd, compared to 0.29 Cd for the standard, petrol-powered Forte sedan.
LPG-hybrid version of the Forte won’t be out from Korea. But Kia are working their hybrids towards Europe market this incoming 2013.
