The 2007 Bentley Continental GTC is a luxury two-door vehicle that is available in one trim only, the Convertible. It is capable of accommodating four passengers. This brand new vehicle by Bentley is equipped with a 6-liter W12 turbo engine that produces 552 horsepower. A standard six-speed automatic transmission with overdrive was also installed for this car. For safety, this car is equipped with stability control, traction control and braking systems. The exterior is very stylish because of the curvy body design. Mysterious Bentley Continental GT Spied in Spain: Could it be a Hybrid Prototype?

To be completely honest, we were quite hesitant to post these photos of a mysterious Bentley Continental GT coupe that was snapped by one of our spy photographers in western Spain, close to the borders with Portugal. Our man claimed that the Continental GT was equipped with some sort of electric motor / battery pack, visible from the rear window. While it looks like there’s something present in the trunk, unfortunately, the photos aren’t clear enough for us make a positive ID.

So why did we decide to post these photographs then?

Well, thing is that we have been hearing rumors about a gasoline -or diesel- electric hybrid model from Bentley for quite some time now. So even though the positioning of the electric motor/ battery pack (whatever that is in the photos) might seem weird, it could be a prototype model used to test the system.

But without any additional info from a credible inside source, all this is just pure speculation, and we’re definitely not in the business of making stories up.
And yes, the thought that the alleged test driver might have been just carrying some sort of equipment in the trunk, did pass through our mind. So for the time being and until we discover something new, just consider this article as a sort of a ‘think-out-loud’ post. Bentley has revealed the fastest and most powerful model in its 90-year history, the new 621HP Continental Supersports that will make its premiere in Geneva with sales following in most markets from autumn 2009 and in the U.S., in the summer of 2010. The Continental Supersports, whose name is inspired by the firm’s 1925 two-seater 3-litre Supersports model, is powered by a 6.0-liter W12 engine capable of running on either petrol and E85 biofuel or any combination of the two. Bentley supports that the E85 biofuel can offer a reduction of up to 70 per cent in CO2

The British automaker did not release any details other than that the mystery vehicle will run on bio-fuel and that it will be “its fastest and most powerful production car ever.” For the record, the teaser press shot that accompanied the release seem to point towards a car based on the Continental family – either the coupe or the sedan. Bugatti To Work With Bentley To Compete With Rolls-Royce

Again, rumors in auto world,now Bugatti is working together with Bentley in order to produce a new sedan. What they will be borrowing is something that we can’t seem to figure out. However it is heard that it will compete against the Rolls-Royce Phantom.

Previous month Bugatti hinted that its next product would be more expensive then the current Bugatti Veyron – which means that it will be equipped with enough power to make us all envious of it.Josef Paefgen lead man for the project backed up this claim when he said that there would be in cheap Bugatti.

Let me ask you this, it is true that having a USD $400,000 sedan is not inexpensive at all? Of course that is no where near the price of the $1.6 million Bugatti Veyron. Naturally there are dozens of questions and theories rolling through our minds – but we find it best to wait for more details before we put anything down and add gasoline to the fire.That is why they called it rumors instead of facts.Let us wait for someone leaked out something about Bugatti real intentions and plans.It would be a very interesting looking at both Bugatti and Bently working together putting up a new machine which is more or less would be a great outcome.
