BMW already introduce their next generation 5-Series sedan, BMW and, its M division,currently is now concentrating on the development of their new version of the series.When a Twin-Turbocharged V8 installed inside a BMW,In the X5M and X6M, the bi-turbocharged unit produces an output of 555 horsepower at 6,000 rpm and 680Nm or 501-lbs/ft of peak torque, available between 1,500 and 5,650 rpm. In comparison, the current M5′s naturally aspirated V10 makes 507HP and 520Nm or 383-lbs/ft of peak torque.

Details on the new M5′s engine specs remain scarce, though it has been suggested that the direct-injection V8 may be further honed, boosting output closer to the 600HP mark.

The new V8 will not only be more powerful than the V10, but also more compact in size, lighter in weight and more fuel efficient with lower CO2 emissions.

Along with the new powerplant, the 2011 M5 will get a re-engineered version of the BWM M3′s seven-speed twin-clutch transmission (DCT), and hopefully for purists, a classic manual gearbox.

As with every other product bearing the M badge, the 5-Series-based model will benefit from suspension, brake and steering system upgrades to further improve handling and driver’s feedback.

BMW no doubt one of the best car brands ever.Just see how those BMW X6 cars sold through out the entire world.BMW has it own class.I just love BMW X6, one of the best dynamic car i ever wanted to own one someday.Recently in news BMW said that they own the most powerful hybrid vehicle in the world.Which is happened refering to BMW new BMW ActiveHybrid X6 .

This new BMW ActiveHybrid X6 will be powered by the 400-hp, 450-lb-ft twin-turbo V-8 from the (relatively) normal X6 xDrive50i, supplemented with two electric motors.

This X6 and also-just-announced BMW ActiveHybrid 7 share the honor of being BMW’s first-ever hybrids, but they share little else. Although both boast componentry co-developed with competitors—and share the 4.4-liter twin-turbo V-8—the systems are dramatically different. The 7 uses a mild hybrid system created with Daimler and utilizing just one electric motor.

The world’s most powerful hybrid,BMW ActiveHybrid X6 vehicle will debut at the Frankfurt auto show this September, and U.S. sales will commence late in 2009. BMW isn’t talking pricing yet, but with a V-8 X6 starting above $67,000 and the also recently announced X6 M basing at almost $90,000, we’d put the ActiveHybrid X6’s base price right around $80,000.Really build for deep pocket people.

Acura ZDX 2010 Sports Crossover shadow of BMW X6

Acura shown their four-door coupe like sports but still seenas another attempt to differentiate junction mixing elements of the crowd of numerous tenants other segments, the brand new 2010 ZDX we officially revealed ahead of its debut at the end of the North American market this year. A similar offer to BMW ‘s X6 crossing the ZDX was first shown as a concept of pre-production in the NY show this past April.

Except for some minor cosmetic adjustments such as head-and rear light, alloy wheel, the bumper design and lower internal adjustment, production ZDX is identical to the concept of the show in NY.

The notable design highlights include a panoramic glass roof, rear door handles hidden and defense rounded flaring. There ‘s also Acura ‘ s protector striking up-front, but that ‘s something ‘ VE we used to lately.

ZDX The five-seater will be offered with a 3.7-liter V6 engine producing 300 horsepower and 270 pounds-feet of torque that a match is a completely new automatic transmission 6-speed with the paddle wheel and mounted Acura ‘the system of All-Wheel Drive for superb direction of s (SH-AWD). The figures in the operation or fuel economy are yet to be announced.

Acura said that when the ZDX goes on sale in the U.S. this winter will be offered with three levels of adjustment: ZDX, ZDX to the package of technology and the prize package with ZDX advance.

New BMW X6 xDrive35i and xDrive50i M Sport Packages with Powerful Upgrades

This fall will see the introduction of a new M Sport package for the BMW X6 xDrive35i and xDrive50i turbocharged gasoline models. What’s interesting about this package is that, unlike other M Division kits that comprise mainly of styling upgrades and quite often slightly more aggressively tuned suspension and different wheels and tires, this one actually adds much in the way of performance.

More specifically, the M Sport Package sees the X6 xDrive35i gaining the same tweaked version of the 3.0-liter twin-turbocharged inline-six found on the 740i that produces 326HP at 5,800 rpm and 450Nm of peak torque from 1,500 to 4,500 rpm. That’s an additional 20HP and 50Nm of torque compared to the standard X6 xDrive35i.

The X6 xDrive50i (damn those marketing folks at BMW and their over-complicated naming systems…) gets an even greater power boost as the 4.4-liter twin-turbo V8′s output is lifted from 408HP to 446HP. In comparison, the new X6 M model’s 4.4L V8 turbo makes 555 horsepower.

If we translated the German press release correctly (if not, we’ll be much obliged if our German readers could take a look at it below and make any necessary corrections or/and additions), the M Sport Package for the X6 SAVs will also include a body kit, 20-inch alloy wheels and a sportier interior trim.

For the record, the vehicle pictured above is the 555HP X6 M variant as the Bavarian automaker did not disclose any photographs of the X6 with the M Sport Package.

BMW X6 ambulance version in Germany

BMW X6, synonyms with driving with a dynamic performance.But hey, take a glance on this picture of BMW X6 car modified!
It may be alarmingly, bemusingly good to drive, but we’ve still never quite figured out the point of the BMW X6.

But now all becomes clear. BMW has shown off an X6 ambulance at the Rescue Vehicle Show in Fulda, Germany. Doesn’t the big coupe-SUV-thingy look at home with emergency vehicle livery and big flashing lights?

You may have spotted a flaw. The one about where the hell they’re going to fit all the stretchered, lightly broken people. But, says BMW, that’s not what the X6 ambulance is about.

Instead, it’s a first-responder vehicle, designed to get to the scene of an accident before larger ambulances and, presumably, to confuse the hell out of the injured once it arrives. (“Sod the anaesthetic, what in the name of Jehovah is that car you’ve turned up in?”)

Speed shouldn’t be a problem – the X6 ambulance is armed with a 407bhp twin-turbo V8 capable of punting it to 60mph in just over five seconds.

Quite how it’s going to squeeze through city traffic – no tape measures exist that are long enough to measure the width of the X6, but best estimates put it somewhere around a quarter-mile across – remains unclear, but Top Gear selflessly volunteers for a full pace blues-and-twos sprint through the mean streets of, er, Bavaria.

This has got us thinking: what emergency response vehicles would you like to see on your local roads? We’re thinking Ariel Atom ambulance…

2008 BMW X6 Quick Drive Performance

Cars.com’s Mike Hanley takes a look at the BMW X6. It competes with the Infiniti FX and the Mercedes-Benz M-Class.

I think it is a quite beautiful, it is a sleek coupe (pronounced ‘ku-pay’). I guess for many it is an expensive luxurious four seater with imposing ride height. For me a Mercedes G55 AMG is beautiful too – it is not aerodynamic, it may not be air suspensioned like the Rangrover, but it is, simply beautiful because it looks interesting and has an appeal.

BMW X6 by Hartge-Blend of high-performance street machine

When it comes to BMW cars, i always get excited to write for in this blog.Especially BMW X6 model, one of my favorites.The great driving performance and dynamic driving BMW6 is such an enormous in automotive industry.BMW X6 has a limits for such a powerful vehicle at 220 g/km. Indeed, the X6 xDrive35d from HARTGE uses half a litre less diesel per 100 kilometres than its series counterpart under comparable conditions. Equally impressive are the performance figures. Despite a weight of 2,185 kg, the X6 takes only six seconds to reach 100 km/h and is thus significantly quicker off the mark than the standard xDrive35d (6.9 sec.). The maximum speed – there is no electronic limiter on the HARTGE model – has been measured at 256 km/h.

The BMW tuners Hartge from Germany’s Saarland region have modified a diesel variant of the German Automaker latest Sports Activity Vehicle. The Hartge BMW X6 is a blend of high-performance street machine and crossover workhorse. The output of the straight 6 has been boosted to produce 328 HP and almost 500 lb-ft of torque while consuming less fuel. The body has also been widened to accommodate the addition of 22 inch rims.

The X6 M was unveiled for the first time at the New York International Auto Show on April 8th. When the X5 M and X6 M go on sale this fall as 2010 model vehicles, they will retail for $86,225 and $89,725 respectively (including $825 Destination & Handling).

Both the BMW X5 M and X6 M feature a new reverse flow V8 engine with patented twin-turbo technology. The lag-eliminating Cylinder-bank Comprehensive Manifold (CCM) enables the engine to produce 555 horsepower and accelerate both models from 0 to 60mph in 4.5 seconds. At BMW M, “the chassis must always be more powerful than the engine.” The X5 M and X6 M exploit the limits of physics through their reworked Integrated Chassis Management systems to provide maximum road-holding without conceding to harsh ride characteristics.

Power is delivered through an M derivative of BMW’s xDrive all-wheel drive, allowing M typical throttle-steering. At the rear axle is BMW’s revolutionary Dynamic Performance Control, tailored by BMW M to ensure near-perfect distribution of power. Four M-characteristic tailpipes emerge from the aerodynamic diffuser in the rear. Enormous brakes round out the package, providing confidence under all conditions.

The modern, sustainable legacy of BMW M began in 1985 when engineers placed the snarling, race-bred inline-6 engine from the M1 supercar into the production BMW 5 Series sedan, reworked the suspension and brakes, and created BMW’s first M5. The M5 redefined the capabilities of a sedan with levels of power, precision, and linear control never before imaginable.
