Honda Civic 2012 Concepts: Photos from the Detroit Motor Show

The Civic Sedan and Civic Si Coupe concepts are the stars of Honda’s Detroit Auto Show brook. The two idea models are essentially pre-production studies of the actual ninth-generation Civic that will be introduced to the North American souk this Spring. Bear in mind that the Detroit show Civics do not preview the impending three- and five-door tailgate models for the European advertise.

On the external, Honda’s designers opted for a more evolutionary styling fairly than a radical measure in goal, blending the current brand’s smooth with styling minutiae from some of the practice’s hottest models such as the CR-Z mixture and the North American Accord.

The two thought models do not develop to report an interior or a powertrain. P-NUT Micro Honda Coupe Concept at LOS ANGELES Salon 2009

Honda presented an interesting and different, prototype at the Salon in Los Angeles. It’s called the P-NUT (Personal Neo Urban Transport) Micro Coupe Concept, measuring 3,400 mm long, 1,750 mm wide and 1439 mm high.Dave Marek, director of advanced design of Honda R & D Americas, said: “The goal of the designers of interior and exterior, was to explore the possibility of a new type of small car to overcome many of the objections of current is micro-cars.

The powerplant of the P-NUT can be as much as electric hybrid, but unlike others found in the rear. The model presented in the classroom has no motor.Design as we see is very interesting and aggressive. Although many would shock him (so rare it seems), it finishes and a style we may see in the near future in other cars, and I say this for the complete union of a window, it which would be the hood and grill and the optics. But I am not convinced at all is the design of the rear, as the addition of another color makes them look two cars instead of one.

Overall I think an excellent study design, with a great opportunity to reach production (although never confirmed that Honda will). In my opinion (if any intentions of coming to reality in some way may be the basis for designing the new kid on the signature model) needs to focus on improving the back end and decide if it is necessary that only has three crew members.

HONDA CR-Z CONCEPT 2009

At a first glance, the so-called “CR-Z Concept 2009″ doesn’t grow to be that Honda will ditch the Insight’s 1.3-liter petrol engine for yourselves in public with a more effective thrilling motor.

Not surprisingly, the sportier shapely, the dashboard’s styling does cause to heed the Insight…

As of yet, there’s nothing certified on the CR-Z’s amalgam powertrain, but modern reports insinuate that different from the inventive CR-Z concept car that was displayed at the 2007 Tokyo show.

New Toyota Prius and Honda Insight-Hybrid version

Tuning firms including Kenstyle that has applied its styling expertise on the new Honda Insight and Toyota Prius hybrids. In both cases the Japanese tuner’s package includes specific grille treatments, beefy front and rear aprons with matching side skirts, various alloy wheel designs as well as a sport muffler and tail pipe. Honda Racer

Honda’s Racer model is arriving in the market. The Racer is designed by the Honda R&D Americans, Inc., in Torrance. It’s a part of the Hot Wheels Designer’s Challenge to celebrate the 40th anniversary of die-cast. The Racer appears on store shelves in May-2008.

The Racer will come with V-10 VTEC engine. The velocity stack and an intake which accepts air through the structure of car sits between DOHC valve covers to give a advance look. The exhaust system is a huge set of twisted and balanced tubes residing on engine, matching the power-plant design at the rear end of the car.

The Honda Racer combines the excitement of Honda’s racing heritage with Hot Wheels’ reputation for speed, power, performance and attitude. The core concept is built around our idea for an ‘ultimate racecar’ and leverages the design freedom made possible by a scale model car.

Sure, it is awesome to play with the cars on the orange track again, but I discovered that designing a Hot Wheels car is very different and in some ways more liberating than designing a production car. For example, the primary design constraint is that the car had to fit on the orange track and perform a loop. Aside from that, the possibilities are without limit.
