LA Auto Show: Honda FCX Clarity unveiled

Honda has released the FCX fuel-cell hybrid concept in 2004 and it will now finally go on production, named the FCX Clarity. It has been unveiled at the LA Auto Show today and they state that it’s a zero-emissions, but it’s kinda hard to find stations for it and we are not sure yet if it features the GPS system that finds hydrogen fuel stations. Unfortunately, there will only be 100 Honda FCX Clarity models released for the ones that live near one of it’s three hydrogen fuel stations. So only southern California inhabitants will have the occasion to buy it.

Italdesign Giugiaro Quaranta – ‘08 Geneva Preview

Finally we get something we want – Italdesign Giugiaro has released high-res pics of the Quaranta Concept just before Geneva Motor Show. We’ve been expecting this for a long time for the concept based on the 1968 Bizzarrini Manta Concept for its looks and on the Toyota Prius for its engine.

The Hybrid Synergy Drive completed with the 3.3-liter V6 engine produces 268 HP and 212 lb-ft of torque, enough to boost the Quaranta from 0 to 60 in just 4.05 seconds. Another design and tech cool characteristic is the solar power-generating roof. The design of the concept is simply astonishing and it will surely draw everybody’s attention at the upcoming auto show.

Mercedes S400 BlueHybrid Concept Will Use Li-Ion Battery

Let’s take a moment of our time to take a look to a car which is not related and will not show up for the Geneva Motor Show. The reason why we present you this Mercedes-Benz is that the German automaker has developed a new hybrid system. The new S400 BlueHybrid will be powered by a 3.5-liter V6 petrol engine along with the 15kW electric engine.

The novelty consists of the fact that this hybrid will be the first to use lithium ion battery. Also the S400 BlueHybrid is the most economical sedan in NEDC (city and highway driving) by managing about 30 miles per gallon. This Hybrid Concept will be available as of 2009 with the ML450 two-mode hybrid system in the U.S. and Europe.

First Upgrades for Toyota Sai Hybrid

Toyota’s budget version of the Lexus HS 250h, the new Sai Hybrid, just went on sale in Japan in the beginning of the month, but the automaker’s TRD division has already lined up some subtle visual and performance upgrades for the sedan. In addition to the selection of aero bits, TRD has also released a new grille insert, a sport suspension kit, specific oil and fuel caps as well as a choice of 16-, 17- and 18-inch alloy wheels available in various designs.

PROTON Hybrid Mass Production in 2011

National car company, Proton Bhd plans launching a large-scale production of hybrid cars by 2011, said managing director Datuk Syed Zainal Syed Mohamed Tahir yesterday.He said the program was developed through joint ventures with subsidiaries based in Britain, Lotus, and several other components suppliers such as battery manufacturers.

“We have a team specialized in Lotus to develop and test the car using Lotus technology. I tested the car two weeks ago and I am impressed with it,” he told Malaysian media in conjunction with the Thailand International Motor Exhibition, here.

Before that, Thai Deputy Prime Minister, Suthep Thaugsuban launched the expo was briefed about the project in Thailand and Proton’s latest model, Exora.Syed Zainal said, some hybrid cars Exora currently tested in Britain and will be sent to Malaysia at the end of this month or early next year.

New Toyota Prius and Honda Insight-Hybrid version

Tuning firms including Kenstyle that has applied its styling expertise on the new Honda Insight and Toyota Prius hybrids. In both cases the Japanese tuner’s package includes specific grille treatments, beefy front and rear aprons with matching side skirts, various alloy wheel designs as well as a sport muffler and tail pipe. BMW no doubt one of the best car brands ever.Just see how those BMW X6 cars sold through out the entire world.BMW has it own class.I just love BMW X6, one of the best dynamic car i ever wanted to own one someday.Recently in news BMW said that they own the most powerful hybrid vehicle in the world.Which is happened refering to BMW new BMW ActiveHybrid X6 .

This new BMW ActiveHybrid X6 will be powered by the 400-hp, 450-lb-ft twin-turbo V-8 from the (relatively) normal X6 xDrive50i, supplemented with two electric motors.

This X6 and also-just-announced BMW ActiveHybrid 7 share the honor of being BMW’s first-ever hybrids, but they share little else. Although both boast componentry co-developed with competitors—and share the 4.4-liter twin-turbo V-8—the systems are dramatically different. The 7 uses a mild hybrid system created with Daimler and utilizing just one electric motor.

The world’s most powerful hybrid,BMW ActiveHybrid X6 vehicle will debut at the Frankfurt auto show this September, and U.S. sales will commence late in 2009. BMW isn’t talking pricing yet, but with a V-8 X6 starting above $67,000 and the also recently announced X6 M basing at almost $90,000, we’d put the ActiveHybrid X6’s base price right around $80,000.Really build for deep pocket people.

GM announced their latest economical Chevrolet Volt which can runs 230 miles per gallon of gasoline in city driving.Incredibly more than four times the mileage of the popular economic car now, the Toyota Prius.Looks like driving a hybrid car is more economical and furthermore save the environments.

Chrysler LLC, Ford Motor Co. and Daimler AG are all developing plug-ins and electric cars, and Toyota Motor Corp. is working on a plug-in version of its gas-electric hybrid system. Nissan Motor Co. Will everybody uses electric car in future.I think so, because gas and petrol source is running out.It seems more alternative is required.

New Buick SUV for 2010 Hybrid Version
