For two or three years, coinciding with the acquisition of the brand by Tata, the British manufacturer has reinvented itself almost completely. After the new versions of the XK range and made new all-aluminum XJ, Jaguar introduced the C-X75 in the last Geneva Motor Show, anticipating the future super-sports brand of the cat. Now, however, the spotlight is on a much more “affordable” sports car that points directly to the waterline models like the Boxster / Cayman or 911 himself, and has credentials that positioned as a serious alternative to the tandem of Stuttgart. Although currently a concept car, you just need to take a look at the images inside to discover that the C-X16 is not far from a possible production version.

Undoubtedly, one of the most striking in the new coupe is the propeller British hiding under the hood. Rather than opt for a powerful V8 as their “cousins” of Aston Martin V12 or decaffeinated like riding the XK, the new C-X16 equipped with a supercharged 3.0-liter V6 capable of delivering an output of 380 hp and torque maximum of 450 Nm. So far, no big deal, right? Well wait, because there’s more. The new engine developed by Jaguar mounted an energy recovery system on the brakes very similar to the cars that use KERS in Formula 1. This small electric motor is capable of generating 95 hp and 235 hp Torque Nm additional hit-and-drop for 10 seconds through a button “Push to Pass” button on the steering wheel. The result is par-total of 685 Nm engine, equivalent to 56% higher yields than the engine of the new Porsche 911.

Also, this hybrid system in the C-X16 also allows you to move in all-electric mode as long as not overcome the 80 km / h. The new engine that equips the C-X16 marks the path that will be the new generation of highly efficient engines being developed by Jaguar. In this sense, the 3.0 V6 supercharged the new C-X16 emits only 165 g / km of CO2 into the atmosphere, giving a consumption of only 6.8 l/100 km combined cycle. What’s more is that Jaguar’s engineers fiddled around with the XKR’s supercharged 5.0-liter V8 that in standard form makes 510HP and 625Nm or 461 lb-ft of torque launching the sports coupe from standstill to 60mph (96km/h) in 4.6 seconds. In the XKR Goodwood Special, output is lifted to 530 horsepower and torque to 700Nm or 516.2 lb-ft.

The special edition XKR also features a lowered suspension and a tweaked exhaust system for a louder and more intimidating sound. Jaguar said that that the XKR Goodwood Special is a one-off model but we gather that if there’s enough interest, the British automaker may launch a limited run series in the near future.

Looking at the tremendous and stylish design by the Jaguar, it makes me feel crazy to own one. This is the new Jaguar XF. However recently Jaguar pulled back all their 7,900 Jaguar XF model car produce. It was all about the damn faulty seat belts. I just can’t believe it!

In the case of an accident those seating in the rear seats would not be properly restrained in their seats and could be more seriously injured then if they were belted in properly. The rear seat safety belt d-ring was not assembled properly and may not rotate properly around the anchorage mounting bolt of the seat belt.

If the assembly is not held together when tightening, the d-ring or washer may separate from the shoulder of the spacer during an accident and forming a burr on either the washer or d-ring. This limit’s the proper rotation of the d-ring.

So, if you happened to be one of the damn rich people who own this new Jaguar XF the you should start checking your seat belts and report it immediately.

It’s not a cheap car but that’s oke if you now there aren’t made more than 50. I agree it’s not a real good looking car and you can’t go on the road with it but who cares? It’s loud mean and fast, not as fast as a ferrari enzo but it’s build in the early 90’s. I would go for a Ferrari F430 spider but if you really want to have something special just buy it!

It’s loud mean and fast, not as fast as a ferrari enzo but it’s build in the early 90’s. I would go for a Ferrari F430 spider but if you really want to have something special just buy it!
