I always love Nissan motors cars.During this Tokyo Auto Salon 2010 ,Nissan was packed with tuning proposals for Nissan’s GT-R R35.Also bare in mind this beast was installed with a 20-inch multispoke alloy wheel wrapped in Pirelli P-Zero tires size 255/40 ZR20 up front and 285/35 ZR20 at the back.Not much of a surprise though, as usual others include a redesigned front bumper with a lip spoiler, side skirts, rear wheel arch add-ons, a rear wing and a beefier rear diffuser along with an underspoiler and also not to forget a new aero kit trimmed in carbon fiber.

The English firm of Aston Martin supercars few days ago presented the first official images of their new model the Cygnet. This as we see not only a redesigned Toyota IQ, but if we look in detail we can detect the fine hand of Aston in redesigning it. The work is really very interesting.

For now the objective of the firm is to sell this model to current customers.Will James Bond buy this cute car?I’m not really sure.But i’m pretty sure that this Aston CityCar will be very useful to owners of supercars, and that this car may move small thorugh small streets without problems and also contribute to the environment.

New BMW 740i at Detroit motor show

For the first time in many years, BMW will offer American consumers the choice of a six-cylinder engine for its flagship 7-Series sedan. The U.S.-Spec 740i and its long-wheelbase sibling, the 740iL, with make their North American premiere at the 2010 Detroit motor show next January, with sales set to follow in Spring of the same year.

Both models are powered by BMW’s 3.0-liter twin-turbocharged inline-six (and not the 2011 535i’s new twin-scroll turbocharged six) producing 315 horsepower at 5800 rpm and 330 lb-ft of torque from 1,600-4,500 rpm in U.S.-spec form.

Power is delivered to the rear wheels through BMW’s 6-speed automatic transmission.

Buyers will have a choice of several options and packages to upgrade the 2011 740i and 740iL including the M Sport, Driver Assistance, Luxury Seating, Rear Entertainment, and even the BMW Individual Composition Package.

New BMW X6 xDrive35i and xDrive50i M Sport Packages with Powerful Upgrades

This fall will see the introduction of a new M Sport package for the BMW X6 xDrive35i and xDrive50i turbocharged gasoline models. What’s interesting about this package is that, unlike other M Division kits that comprise mainly of styling upgrades and quite often slightly more aggressively tuned suspension and different wheels and tires, this one actually adds much in the way of performance.

More specifically, the M Sport Package sees the X6 xDrive35i gaining the same tweaked version of the 3.0-liter twin-turbocharged inline-six found on the 740i that produces 326HP at 5,800 rpm and 450Nm of peak torque from 1,500 to 4,500 rpm. That’s an additional 20HP and 50Nm of torque compared to the standard X6 xDrive35i.

The X6 xDrive50i (damn those marketing folks at BMW and their over-complicated naming systems…) gets an even greater power boost as the 4.4-liter twin-turbo V8′s output is lifted from 408HP to 446HP. In comparison, the new X6 M model’s 4.4L V8 turbo makes 555 horsepower.

If we translated the German press release correctly (if not, we’ll be much obliged if our German readers could take a look at it below and make any necessary corrections or/and additions), the M Sport Package for the X6 SAVs will also include a body kit, 20-inch alloy wheels and a sportier interior trim.

For the record, the vehicle pictured above is the 555HP X6 M variant as the Bavarian automaker did not disclose any photographs of the X6 with the M Sport Package.

2010 Shelby GT500 Mustang Super Snake Shelby achieves the power upgrades with a different supercharger kit and a new exhaust system while other mods include a cold air intake system and a custom drive shaft on the 725HP variant

For that small percentage of buyers that aren’t satisfied with the 2010 Ford Mustang-based Shelby GT500 that packs a 5.4-liter supercharged V8 with 540 ponies under the hood, Caroll Shelby and his team have prepped an even more hardcore package called Super Snake. Due to go on sale in August, Shelby offers the Super Snake package on the GT500 in two guises, with outputs of 630 and 725 horsepower, the latter offered only on the coupe model.

2010 Shelby GT500 Mustang Super Snake On the aesthetics side, Shelby adorns the basic GT500 with a unique fiberglass hood with a larger air scoop, specific stripes, numerous carbon fiber body components, sequential tail lights, quarter window scoops and of course, new 20-inch alloy wheels shod in Pirelli P-Zero rubber.

To improve handling, the Super Snake package adds a race-spec suspension system with adjustable dampers, a short throw shifter and a Baer brake system with 6 piston calipers and cross drilled and ventilated discs. Customers can also opt for a more hardcore Eibach handling pack.For the interior, the basic Super Snake package adds center gauge cluster, satin door lock knobs and headrests embroidered with the Shelby logo which also appears on the center console.

Once you bring in your GT500, Shelby will charge you $29,495 for 630HP package and $33,495 for the 725HP kit. In both cases, prices including installation but not the donor car – just to make it clear.

Toyota Revs up Production of new Prius

Higher-than-expected demand in Japan has ‘forced’ Toyota to ramp up production of its third-generation Prius Hybrid. Toyota spokesman Hideaki Homma, told Bloomberg news that the company has increased production to 50,000 Prius hybrids a month at its Tsutsumi factory and Toyota Auto Body Co.’s Fujimatsu plant. The spokesman did not reveal how many units of the Prius were built before revving up production.

The 2010 Prius was the No. 1 selling vehicle in Japan for May, taking the top spot in the domestic market for the first time ever. According to Homma, as of June 5, Toyota has received more than 140,000 Prius orders in Japan alone.

LUMMA Design CLR X 650 based on BMW X6

The Winterlinger-based tuner, Lumma Design has just released their own version of the BMW X6 Sports Activity Coupe. Lumma’s own version, CLR X 650, sports some impressive 23-inch wheels, mounted on a super-duper sport widebody kit, which includes 2 inch fender extensions.

As expected and already seen in their previous designs (eg. Lumma CLR 500 RS), the front and rear spoilers receive a new treatment as well, along with the side skirts. Of course, carbon-fiber is being used all around, including the air ducted hood. Lowered sport suspensions designed by Lumma are completing the aggressive look and stand.

As pretty much all the sport-oriented cars, the interior received a similar treatment, which includes leather and alcantara trim and seats and aluminum pedals. Last but not least a hightech multimedia system with 7,5 monitors installed in the custom made headrests.

Vauxhall Insignia wins 2009 Car of the Year award!

The new Vauxhall Insignia (UK name, also called the Opel Insignia in Europe and Buick Regal in China) has been voted as the 2009 Car of the Year (Europe)!

The Insignia won by the tiniest 1 point margin – 321 points, beating the first runner up, the Ford Fiesta to the pole. Trailing behind in third place is the new Volkswagen Golf Mark 6 with 223 points. The last time a car won by 1 point was in the 2001 awards where the Alfa 147 beat the Mondeo by one point.

Other finalists included the Alfa Romeo MiTo with 148 points, the Citroen C5 with 198 points, the Skoda Superb with 144 points, and the Renault Megane with 121 points. To quality for the awards, a car must be launched within the past 12 months and must be available in at least five European countries.

There has been much fuss about the new Insignia from the European motoring press and this news should be a slight bit of music to GM’s ears during the difficult times they’re facing now. There is speculation that the Insignia will bring back the Lotus Carlton in spirit form. The old Carlton was also a Vauxhall/Opel, and the top of the line Insignia’s 260 PS 2.8 liter turbocharged V6 would be quite tuner-friendly, making the job easier.

The COTY awards jury is made up of 50 senior motoring journos from 23 countries, and the UK jury includes Steve Cropley of Autocar, Andrew English of the Daily Telegraph, Ray Hutton of the Sunday Times, Paul Horrell of Top Gear UK, John Simister of The Indepedent and Phil McNamara of Car Magazine.

This awsome Bugatti Veyron car is made by Volkswagen’s 100% arm Bugatti Automobiles. The car has been named after Formula 1 racing driver Pierre Veyron, who won the Le Mans race in 1939 while driving for Bugatti.

This machine had W16 engine, which is the equivalent of two narrow-angle V8 engines fused in a ‘V’ formation. Each car’s cylinders has 4 valves making it a total of 64 valves powered by four turbochargers.

The Koenigsegg CCX is a highly expensive and extremely fast car made from Sweden. It can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in 3.2 seconds.

The Koenigsegg CCX supercar costs about $722,534.

The Koenigsegg CCX — CCX is short for Competition Coupe X — is powered by a Koenigsegg designed and assembled, all aluminium, 4700 cm3 DOHC 32-valve V8 engine. The engine produces 900 hp on biofuel.

This beauty is a two-door, two seater dream that comes with a removable hardtop that can be stowed under the front hood lid. The car’s body is made of carbon fibre or kevlar.

The Ascari A10 is a super automobile developed by the British company Ascari Cars. The car can go from 0 to 60 miles per hour in 2.8 seconds.

This Ascari A10 super car costs about $665,000.

The Ascari A10 features a 5.0 L V8 engine producing 600 hp. The magnificent engine delivers power via a six-speed manual transmission. This supercar has a carbon fibre bodywork, which makes lighter and capable of accelerating fast. The estimated weight of the car is 1,280 kg. The Roadster F uses racecar philosophy, materials and construction techniques. It has a strengthened firewall structure of the chassis. The windscreen is also strengthened for safety reasons. These features make it quite light at 1,230 kg.

The Saleen S7 is America’s reigning supercar, jointly designed by RML and Saleen Inc.This spectacular machine costs about $580,000 and can go from 0 to 60 mph in 2.8 seconds.

It is built at Saleen’s headquarters in Irvine, California, USA. The super car has center-locking wheel nuts with automatic safety locks; it has integrated roll protection aluminum honeycomb impact absorbing panels; its engine is equipped with two turbochargers and it comes with 3-point seat belts with automatic seat belt pre-tensioners.

It has a carbon fibre body, integrated rear crumple zones and a center-position fuel tank.

The American Saleen S7 sports car makes its European debut at the MPH ’05 car show at Earls Court in London in 2005.

6. The Lamborghini Murcielago LP640

The Lamborghini Murcielago LP640 is a supercar made by Italy’s Automobili Lamborghini S.p.A. It is perhaps the world’s most recognised and desired car.
This extraordinary supercar can set your bank balance back by about $319,000. It can go from 0 to 62 mph in 3.4 seconds flat.The Murcielago LP640 features an engine that is mounted ‘backwards,’ with the transmission at the very back of the car. The ‘LP’ in its name stands for Longitudinale Posteriore which refers to the longitudally-mounted, 6.5 L V12 engine, capable of producing up to 640 bhp at 8000 rpm.

This super car is made up of steel and carbon fibre. It also has an all-wheel drive system and scissor-opening doors.

This awsome Dutch supercar costs about $287,500 and accelerate from 0 to 62 miles per hour in 5 seconds.This D12 is described as a Super Sports Utility Vehicle. It is a four-seater, four-wheel-drive car that comes with a Volkswagen W12 engine and a six-speed transmission.

At 5 metres long, 2 meters wide and 1.68 meters tall, the car is huge, but its aluminum body keep its weight down to a relatively low 1,895 kg.Despite its weight, the car’s super engines can gun it to great speeds. True to its supercar status, the Spyker D12 sports some pretty extraordinary gadgets under its hood.

8. Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano

The Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano is a magnificent 2-seat machine styled by Pininfarina along with Ferrari’s in-house design guru Frank Stephenson.

This Italian made supercar is Ferrari’s most powerful V-12 production that costs about $255,000 and can go from 0 to 62 mph in 3.7 seconds.

The Mosler MT900S is made of a carbon-fibre-reinforced steel frame.

This American supercar costs $189,000 (Rs 85 lakh) and can go from 0 to 60 mph in 3.5 seconds.

It is a 2-seater coupe and has a 5.7-litre V-8, 435 bhp engine. It is 4,800 mm in length and weighs about 1,580 kg. This mean machine too comes packed to the brims with some state-of-the-art electronic equipment.

10. Audi R8

The Audi R8 is a sports car from the German automaker Audi.

The R8 supercar from Audi costs about $130,000 and can accelerate from 0 to 62 mph in 4.6 seconds.The Audi R8 model will come with a 4.2 L V8 that can churn out 420 hp. The R8 weighs 1,560 kg.

The Audi R8 is built in a compact way. The cabin of the Audi R8 is pushed far forward, behind which is the V8 FSI engine. The chassis has aluminum double wishbones at the front and rear. The Audi R8 is fitted with 6-arm 18-inch wheels.

The car, like all supercars, comes packed with many more mouth-watering and high-tech features as usual.
