“The transformation of Buick began with our luxury crossover, the Buick Enclave and continued this year with the launch of the 2010 LaCrosse premium sedan,” said Susan Docherty, Buick GMC General Manager. “We’re thrilled to announce that the Regal will be the next member of the Buick family.”

GM said that even though the Regal name has been out of the market for the past six years it continues to be one of the top Buick nameplates recalled by consumers.

Before entering bankruptcy and the decision to either sell or close its Saturn business (GM recently announced the death of the brand after negotiations broke down with Penske Automotive), the Detroit automaker had planned to replace the Aura with the Insignia.

General Motors did not say when the Regal will go on sale in the States, but buyers should expect to see the sleek sedan arriving at dealerships sometime towards the end of 2010 or early 2011. Engine options will most likely include 4-cylinder turbocharged units as well as a V6.

And what’s that we hear you say about a Buick Regal GNX? Well, your guess is as good as ours, but the recent introduction of the European Opel Insignia OPC that packs an all-wheel drive system and a 325HP 2.8-liter turbocharged V6 means that a sporty GNX model is completely feasible.

The Opel Insignia is also offered in Europe as a five-door liftback and a sleek-looking station wagon called Sports Tourer, but we wouldn’t hold our breath for an American release for neither model.

Set to arrive in Mercedes-Benz showrooms sometime during the first half of 2010, the topless version of the new E-Class Coupe keeps the four-seat layout of its tintop twin and like the Audi A5 Cabrio, it doesn’t use a retractable metal roof opting instead for a lighter and more compact-sized canvas top.

Don’t expect to see any surprises under the hood as the 2010 E-Class Convertible will be offered with the same four-, six- and eight-cylinder engine options (depending on the market) as the latest coupe model including a 204HP 2.2-liter diesel and a 5.5-liter V8 petrol with 388HP.

Along with the 2010 Golf 2.5L and TDI diesel, Volkswagen of America has also free thorough information on the pricing and the open options for the 2010 GTI MkVI that is motivated by a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine with exact-injection that pushes out 200HP at 5,100 rpm and 207 lb-ft. Of torque from 1,800 all the way up to 5,000 rpm. Those numbers are the same with the before-gen MKV GTI but 10HP minus than its European counterpart.

With the rank six-tempo guidebook transmission, the U.S.-spec 2010 GTI can go from 0 to 60 mph (96km/h) in 6.8 seconds and onto an electronically partial 130mph (209km/h) top swiftness while delivering an EPA-estimated 31mpg on the highway, and 21mpg in city dynamic.

When fixed with the possible six-rate dual-grip DSG transmission, the GTi reaches 60mph in 6.7 seconds from a standstill and takings a superior EPA-estimated 32 mpg in highway powerful, and 24 mpg in city heavy.

In comparison, the 210HP Euro-spec GTI accelerates from standstill to 62mph (100km/h) in 6.9seconds (the guidebook and DSG) and has a top tempo of 142mph or 238km/h.

In the U.S., prices for the 2010 GTI outset from $23,990 (counting destination dash) for the two-door mold with a guide gearbox and top out at $25,690 for the four-door kind with the DSG transmission.

Official photos of the new Peugeot RCZ sports coupe already bombarded through the internet. This Peugeot RCZ sports coupe will be unveiled officially for the 1st time to the public during one of my favorite auto show the Frankfurt Motor Show this September 2009. The stylish coupe 2+2 seater not fully reveled in any of the picture found in the internet or any other source,so let us see how was the outcome that Peugeot RCZ sports coupe can show us during Frankfurt Motor Show. The French car had shown their 308 RCZ concept car last time on 2007 at the Frankfurt motor show.

To be added, Peugeot RCZ sports coupe was the first model in Peugeot’s range do not use the usual ‘zero’ or ‘double-zero’ numbering system.Target, Peugeot RCZ sports coupe will be in production soon in Spring 2010.

Engine-lineup for Peugeot RCZ sports coupe was still blurr, but ‘French TT’ will make use of the BMW Group and PSA Peugeot Citroen co-developed, twin-scroll turbocharged 1.6-liter four-cylinder engine which will provides with a lot more outputs, including the new model version with 218HP.
