Hartge Releases new 2010 BMW Z4 Roadster

Hartge once more come with a great design for BMW Roadster idea, a new 2010 BMW Z4 Roadster. For the exterior, Hartge has created a new front apron that covers the air inlets, carbon fiber mirror caps, a discreet boot lid spoiler, a wind deflector, pin stripes and a four-piece exhaust system.

After showing us its initial offerings for the new BMW Z4 that were limited to a few alloy wheel options, a dual-pipe exhaust system and a new speedometer, Hartge has taken one step further by releasing a new set of upgrades for the hardtop roadster.

Customers can also give the hardtop roadster an even sportier stance with the addition of Hartge’s alloy wheels that are available in numerous designs in sizes 18- to 20-inches, and a suspension lowering kit.

A set of aluminum pedals, a new instrument cluster and specific floor mats are some of the options offered for the interior.

Those that are interested in juicing up the Z4′s powerplants will have to wait until next year when the company is expected to reveal its engine kit program.

2011 BMW 5-Series with 410HP 535i R35 and 620HP 550i R50S Models

Russia’s Top Car isn’t the only tuner tampering around with the recently revealed, but not yet available, 2011 BMW 5-Series sedan. So is Racing Dynamics, otherwise known as RDSport in the USA. The Italian tuner that specializes on BMW products, has released a teaser photo (chop) and preliminary specs on the bmw 535i R35 and the 550i R50S that will both receive a bevy of performance and styling mods.

While Racing Dynamics has not yet released specific details on the engine upgrades, the tuner said that the 535i R35′s 3.0-liter inline-six with the twin-scroll turbocharger will receive an extra boost to produce 410HP and 383lb-ft torque for an estimated 0-60mph (96km/h) sprint time of 5.3 seconds, or 0.7 seconds faster than the standard 306HP 535i.

The range-topping 550i with the R50S package will deliver an output of 620-horsepower versus the factory model’s 407HP 4.4-liter twin-turbo V8.

In addition to the engine mods, the Bavarian sedans will also benefit from a custom made exhaust system, a high performance braking system, a new rear-locking differential and a retuned and lowered suspension with new gas struts for the front axle and gas-pressurized shock absorbers for the rear.

The package will be rounded off with new 21-inch lightweight alloy wheels, an aero kit and various options for the interior including special trim inlays.

Detroit Auto Show:Redesigned Z4 sDrive35is and BMW 1 Series electrical ActiveE

BMW will present in January in Detroit Auto Show to two very interesting car model.The first are their new redesigned Z4 sDrive35is, and secondly the concept of the BMW 1 Series electrical, activeE.

In the case of the Z4, the firm is presented with the 3.0-liter engine, which has been updated with a less strict intake manifold and two more pressure turbos. It has 340 hp, 450 Nm (500 Nm with overboost), and goes from 0 to 100 in 4.8 seconds. The technology comes from BMW Twin Turbo and direct fuel injection (High Precision Injection).

The Sport automatic gearbox DKG dual clutch gear changes without interrupting the transmission of force. In addition, the driver can choose between fully automatic mode or manual mode.

The changes from the previous model include the recalibration of the electric steering, adaptive suspension that lowers the car 10 mm height, a new set of wheels 18 and 19 inch M Sport aerodynamic kit.

The M Sport Package is combined with M aerodynamic package and the M chassis automatic electronic adjustment of the damping. This coupling makes the model is less comfortable but much more sporty.

Cosmetic changes make it more aggressive and more pleasing to the eye, the redesign has been good to the German model.

On the side of the 1 Series Concept activeE signature presents us with the same first developing a fully electric vehicle. This like other models have lithium-ion batteries (made by SB LiMotive). The electric motor has 170 hp and 250 Nm. The weight is 1,800 kg.

The most amazing feature of this model is that with a 220/230 V outlet and 50 amps, can travel up to 160 km with only 3 hours charging time, a remarkable achievement by the firm.

No word yet on the cost of this variant of the 1 Series, but there will be 600 produced for sale.

Special edition BMW X5′s limited to 2,000 Units Worldwide only

VIDEO: BMW X6M 555HP V8 Turbo on the Race Track

Here’s some new video footage of BMW’s M-badged X6 SAV on the race track. Like its X5M twin, the X6M comes with a new 4.4-liter twin – turbo V8 engine delivering a maximum output of 555 horsepower and a peak torque of 680Nm or 501-lbs/ft. Power is distributed to all four wheels through a six-speed automatic transmission with the Bavarian firm claiming that it’s high-performance crossover accelerates from zero to 100km/h (62mph) in just 4.7 seconds.

New BMW X6 xDrive35i and xDrive50i M Sport Packages with Powerful Upgrades

This fall will see the introduction of a new M Sport package for the BMW X6 xDrive35i and xDrive50i turbocharged gasoline models. What’s interesting about this package is that, unlike other M Division kits that comprise mainly of styling upgrades and quite often slightly more aggressively tuned suspension and different wheels and tires, this one actually adds much in the way of performance.

More specifically, the M Sport Package sees the X6 xDrive35i gaining the same tweaked version of the 3.0-liter twin-turbocharged inline-six found on the 740i that produces 326HP at 5,800 rpm and 450Nm of peak torque from 1,500 to 4,500 rpm. That’s an additional 20HP and 50Nm of torque compared to the standard X6 xDrive35i.

The X6 xDrive50i (damn those marketing folks at BMW and their over-complicated naming systems…) gets an even greater power boost as the 4.4-liter twin-turbo V8′s output is lifted from 408HP to 446HP. In comparison, the new X6 M model’s 4.4L V8 turbo makes 555 horsepower.

If we translated the German press release correctly (if not, we’ll be much obliged if our German readers could take a look at it below and make any necessary corrections or/and additions), the M Sport Package for the X6 SAVs will also include a body kit, 20-inch alloy wheels and a sportier interior trim.

For the record, the vehicle pictured above is the 555HP X6 M variant as the Bavarian automaker did not disclose any photographs of the X6 with the M Sport Package.
