Kia is now going for Hybrid!Kia mother factory,Hyundai already goes for Hybrid, and now it’s Kia turn.Kia had launched Elantra LPI Hybrid, for commercialized hybrid – electric car which targeted Korean market. This new Forte LPI Hybrid car included a 1.6-liter LPG (Liquefied Petroleum Gas) engine, a 15kW and 105Nm electric motor and a Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT). Kia’s Intelligent Stop and Go system also installed inside this hybrid car.

Korean automaker’s engineers twist a little bit on Forte sedan’s aerodynamics by implementing a new significant front/rear bumper skirts, aluminum wheels and rear spoiler ,specialized cover for the bottom part of the engine room and centre floor. This conversion results in a lowered air resistance of 0.26 Cd, compared to 0.29 Cd for the standard, petrol-powered Forte sedan.

LPG-hybrid version of the Forte won’t be out from Korea. But Kia are working their hybrids towards Europe market this incoming 2013.
